Back in November, we took the girls to a mini-photo shoot with Santa. The pictures were taken by Gwen (of Be True Photography - betruephotography.com), who also did our pumpkin patch pictures.
Fortunately, unlike our last visit with Gwen, Hazel wasn't completely against the idea of pictures, but overall she didn't seem to happy or thrilled with the idea. Abs took a while to warm up to the idea, but soon enough she (not surpisingly) went into "full charm/smiling" mode. :)
In the background, of course, Karen and I kept gesticulating and trying all sorts of things to get the girls to smile. Matt, who was originally videotaping the girls, eventually started filming us (apparently we looked pretty hilarious). (That footage may not be released until a later date). ;)
Fortunately, we got a bunch of good pictures, and were able to use several for our Christmas card this year. Of course, trying to decide which ones to use is always tough!

Hazel is not sure what to make of this bearded guy in a red suit. |

"So, how does this 'naughty or nice' thing work again?" |
Hazel and Santa. |
And...she decided she'd had enough. |
Abby casts a skeptical eye at Santa... |
...decides he seems to be okay... |
...but then changes her mind, as babies are wont to do. |

Family shot. The girls do not look amused. |
I really like this one of all of us. Plus Hazel has a hint of smile. |
"Santa, we're not too sure about this..." |

Something amuses Abby (probably us jumping up and down). There is no amusing the Bear. |

Serious face x 2. |
I don't think Hazel liked the feel of Santa's beard. |
Didn't seem to bother Abby. |
I really like this picture, too. Abby and Santa look deep in discussion. |
