Recapping Christmas, Part I

The Christmas recap is broken up into three posts, mainly due to all of the cute pictures.... ;)

We trekked up to Dallas for the Christmas holiday, and spent an enjoyable few days with Matt's family (since Thanksgiving was predominately Griffin-related, it seemed more than fair).  The girls loved all of the attention, and especially loved playing with tissue and wrapping paper! Abby, in particular, repeatedly attempted to eat the paper (she's a very intent little person). :)
Friday night the girls enjoyed opening their presents from Karen, and then we headed over to the Monsons to see the 38th Street lights and enjoy some cookies and Christmas cheer with friends.  The girls had a good time watching all of the kids jump off the porch.

Hazel inspects the tissue paper.  Abs sports a Disney/Christmas headband.

Hazel and Abby focus on the tissue paper.

One of Abby's many attempts to eat the paper.

Teamwork.
Next....pictures over at the Monsons, with their red couch as a backdrop.  Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the lights!

Hazel and Abby gear up for the cold weather.

Hazel looks a bit serious for a cookie party.
After getting everything together on Saturday, we drove up late that night after putting the girls down for bed in their carseats.  Cute little Merrydog hung in the backseat between the girls.  And then Sunday and most of Monday (Christmas Eve) we spent with Nina!

Nina feeds Abby.

Abby likes munching on one of her toys.

Devolve into baby wrestling...

....more baby wrestling...
...and attempts to eat the sister's head.

I think Abby is giving Nina a piano lesson

Hazel adjusts the note while Abby observes (and munches on a toy).

Nina and Abby read a book.

Goofy picture of Nina, Chester, and the girls.
Abby and Chester stare at each other.

Abby: "Nina, are you going to share?"

Apparently the 'in' thing is to taste-test toys nowadays.  ;)
Hazel and Abby check out the neat books from Aunt Emily.
